This surgery is considered very safe but comes with risks just as any other surgical procedure and often takes longer to complete than other types of procedures.

WHAT IS A LAPAROSCOPIC HYSTERECTOMY?

Many women still opt to have a laparoscopic hysterectomy. This is a minimally invasive surgical procedure which involves the surgeon going through the navel. A tiny camera is inserted into the body, which allows the surgeon to see what they are doing on a larger monitor without having to make a major incision. This type of hysterectomy also leaves minimal scarring.
